WHO WE ARE

I have been a teacher for many years and specialised in Dyslexia and Dyscalculia in 2014. My aim is to help children who are struggling in our fast paced education system and provide them with confidence and strategies to cope with the demands of their learning. As a child, I found reading and education difficult and know first hand what it is like to struggle in school.

After finishing my Geography Degree I completed a PGCE. I have worked with ages from Reception up to A Level, both as a teacher and a teaching assistant. After I had our first daughter I decided to start tutoring and set up HJR Tuition. As a team we work closely together, supporting each other with ideas and resources, both with the same aim of supporting children by filling in the missing gaps in their learning journeys.
